The unbelievable growth in India made me explore a bit in terms of investments, ended up with the financial advise and recommendation from experts that we cannot directly invest in equity as an NRI. Only investment allowed it seems, for NRI is in real estate. Not sure whether this is true. There holds the surprise I could not add up the numbers in real-estate in India. Real estate in India is darn expensive even by international standards (with per capita GDP of $700->$2500 per annum).
Flats in Indian hub cities: 2-bedroom, 1000 sq ft apartment for average $200,000-$300,000 and above. (www.99acres.com) Condos in most major metros in USA: 2-bedroom, 1000 sq ft average $200,000-$300,000 (google housing)
Given that, median income in US is 50 times more than India. I thought the Indian cities are up in bubble. Next, look at agricultural land prices.
Agricultural land in Northern part of India is average $50000 - $250,000 per acre (www. 99acres.com) where in east, west and south is about $20000-$200,000. In Villages its about $15000 to $50000 per acre.
Agricultural land in US is in the range of $6000-$15000 per acre. ($12,000 per acre in NJ, $6,000 per acre in California and $8,000 per acre in Florida. From USDA website)
Now You can do the math. Commercial land is even more expensive in india.
The reason, people say, population density. Now lets look at this factor, the density in India is much higher than USA. But, compare to NJ, NJ is actually slightly more densely populated than most states in India. Real estate is regulated by government in India that prevents easy buying and selling and land survey records are not properly maintained which makes it easy to bump up the price.
Can someone explain to me how in the world, the farmers in India who make less than $1000 per annum continue to own land that is valued at several $100K? How many can afford a home in that country?
Is this what economic experts call "bubble"? I believe there needs to be a correction in the market in India to avoid a disaster.

The first bulletin with Eb1 and Eb2 spill over.
Last year:
Mar 2008- India Eb2 U
Apr 2008- India-Eb2 01 Dec 03
This year may be:
Mar 2009- India Eb2 15 Feb 04
Apr 2009- India Eb2 28 Feb 05 (My PD :))
As per March 2009 visa bulletin EB2-China is already 15 Feb 05.
If USCIS repeats last year's pattern of spill over from April then both EB2 China and India move together.
As they move China's dates they need to move India's dates(both share the spill over as retrogressed countries).
Keep guessing on EB2-China's forward movement and most likely would be the same for EB2-India :)

In suport of the view they are totally chaotic: RIR here, priority date is in April 2002, 45-day letter was received & replied to in February 2005 (15+ months ago), heard nothing from them since then. Lawyer started process for 7th year extension.

My 485 had soft LUD on 2/27/09. Although, my husband's dependent application dint have one.
My PD is May'06 EB2 -I and got a soft lud on 2/27/09 for me/wifey case.
This makes me think that, USCIS is probably pulling all the cases systematically based on PD.

1. Do you have a lawyer when you filed the first MTR or did you do it by yourself?
2. Did you submit a copy of the I-140 approval and the AC21 memo during MTR?

1. Yes, I have been having an attorney all the way thru the two MTRs
2. Yes, I-140 approval copy was present in my first MTR. My first MTR did not have AC 21 memo. AC21 memo (2003 Yates Memo) was present in my second MTR when we filed it. Of course, I-140 approval copy was there in the second MTR.

So, has anyone started working on EAD for their/or spouse's LLC?
Why cant I work on my H1B instead( for my spouse's company )? That would take away some risk. Wouldnt it??
Do we need to submit any tax docs( for the new company I would be moving to) when we apply for the AC21 or at any later stage??
Can someone please answer?

Alright Guys, Let's ignore this Dard-e-disco guy he doesn't deserve a second of our time. To answer your question, one thing atleast USCIS can give us is, Release data like How many applications they have already received from Major Green Card Seeking countries and in which EB categories. All this data they would have entered in their computers, They can easily run these kind of reports, I'm sure they'll be having some Data Warehousing softwares. So atleast everybody of know where we stand today and stop predicting cut-off dates etc. etc.
They can also make sure they send our APs and EADs in less than 90 days....
a million things in this world are wrong and occassionally you will be at the receiver's end. Am sure you want things to change, so does every member of this group and many more who arent aware or part of IV yet.
Let us(as members) know what would you like to change in USCIS management. If you feel management should be criticised then lets hear it detailed. Would request to keep a positive outlook and suggest what you would like to see happen. Am sure everyone hear is all ears.

I agree with you. One of my friends got RFE regarding Birth Ceritificates and medical certificates. I would not be surprised if they ask me the same.
So, how did you submit the Birth certificate then? Can you please share the experience?
My brother managed to get one for me. the issue was that my BC had wrong date and first name (my uncle had reported my birth with that name which was never used again). My brother talked to the officials, gave affidavits, chai-paani etc and they agreed to correct date and put both first names with a slash(/) in between. phew ...what an experience dealing with the Indian beauraucrats.

I got financing using EAD in March 2010, and got refinancing recently still using EAD but not the WFC. There should no criteria or need to have GC only. Talk to agent or other lender and you need one, "DESI company" let me know.

Where did you file your 485, and where is your 140 approved or pending, NSC or TSC? My impression is if your 140 is approved or pending at TSC, but you filed your 485 at NSC, your application will be transfered to TSC, and TSC will cash your check and issue your receipt. That is going to take more time. Correct me if i'm wrong. Any July 2nd filer in this situation has got receipt or check encashed by TSC?
I know a friend whose application was recieved at 10:45 AM on July 2nd at NSC, he got the receipt number in July III week, our application was received at 8:26 AM on july 2nd, nothing till date, checks haven't been cashed...no updates!!
So dunno how they are picking the applications, anyways there is good news that they are working on the July 2nd applications, and more & more of us are receiving the receipts numbers.:)
